About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager – CBG Plants to lead the planning, execution, commissioning, and successful completion of Compressed Biogas projects based on Modular Dry Plug Flow technology.

The candidate will be responsible for managing projects from engineering and procurement through construction, installation, commissioning, performance testing, and handover, while ensuring adherence to project timelines, quality, safety, and budget.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end execution of CBG / Biogas Plant projects from project kick-off to successful commissioning and handover.
- Plan and manage project schedules, milestones, manpower, resources, and budgets.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, electrical, instrumentation, commissioning, and operations teams.
- Manage installation and commissioning of Modular Dry Plug Flow digesters and associated CBG plant systems.
- Review and coordinate engineering drawings, P&IDs;, layouts, equipment specifications, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate procurement, vendors, contractors, subcontractors, and technology partners.
- Monitor civil, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and process-related works at project sites.




- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure work is progressing according to approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Identify project risks, technical issues, delays, and resource constraints and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure proper coordination between the client, consultants, EPC contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Monitor project costs and ensure execution within the approved project budget.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, quality, and statutory requirements.
- Lead pre-commissioning, commissioning, performance testing, trial runs, and plant stabilization.
- Coordinate with the operations team during start-up and ensure proper handover of the plant.
- Prepare and maintain project reports, progress reports, MIS, schedules, inspection reports, and commissioning documentation.
- Conduct regular project review meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure timely resolution of technical and commercial issues affecting project execution.
- Support customer meetings and provide technical updates on project progress.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Chemical / Civil / Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 8–15 years of relevant experience in CBG, biogas, biomethanation, waste-to-energy, EPC,



or industrial process plant projects.
- Strong experience in project execution, site management, commissioning, and contractor management.
- Experience in anaerobic digestion / biomethanation projects will be highly preferred.
- Knowledge of CBG plant process systems, digesters, gas purification/upgrading, compression, biogas handling, slurry/digestate management, and associated utilities will be an advantage.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.
- Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and quality control.
- Experience with MS Project / Primavera or similar project-management tools will be an advantage.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Willingness to travel and stay at project sites across India as required.
