Key Responsibilities
- Perform surface preparation of aerospace composite and fabricated components.
- Clean, sand, polish, and prepare surfaces before painting.
- Perform masking and demasking of components as per drawings and work instructions.
- Mix and prepare paints, primers, hardeners, and other coating materials as per specified requirements.
- Apply primer, paint, and protective coatings using spray guns and other appropriate equipment.
- Maintain required coating thickness, colour, coverage, and surface finish.
- Inspect painted components for defects such as uneven coating, runs, sags, pinholes, scratches, and contamination.
- Carry out touch-up, correction, and rework activities as required.
- Follow aerospace-specific drawings, specifications, process sheets, and work instructions.
- Handle composite components carefully to prevent damage during painting and finishing operations.
- Maintain and clean spray guns, painting tools, equipment, and workstations.
- Record and maintain required production and quality-related documentation.
- Coordinate with Production and Quality teams regarding painting and finishing requirements.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of paints, solvents, chemicals,
and related materials.
- Follow all company Quality, EHS, PPE, and safety requirements.
- Maintain 5S and housekeeping standards in the painting area.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in Aerospace, Defence, Aircraft, Automotive, Composites, or Precision Manufacturing industries will be preferred.
- Experience in painting composite components, aircraft parts, or fabricated aerospace components will be an added advantage.
- Experience with spray painting and aerospace-grade coatings will be preferred.
Educational Qualification
- ITI – Painter / relevant trade
- Diploma – Mechanical / Automobile / Aeronautical / relevant technical discipline
- Any other relevant technical qualification
Experience:
- 3–8 years of relevant experience in qualified painting, preferably in the aerospace, composite, automobile, or manufacturing industry.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
