Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager with strong experience in Oil & Gas, Pipeline, Shipbuilding/Ship Repair, and industrial projects. The candidate will be responsible for managing the complete procurement cycle, including sourcing, vendor development, negotiation, purchase orders, material planning, cost control, and timely delivery of materials and equipment required for projects.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of industrial materials, project procurement, subcontracting, vendor management, and commercial negotiations.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and manage procurement activities for Oil & Gas, pipeline, shipbuilding/ship repair, and infrastructure projects.
- Handle the complete procurement cycle from RFQ, vendor identification, quotation comparison, negotiation, purchase order, delivery, and payment coordination.
- Develop and maintain a strong network of reliable suppliers, manufacturers, subcontractors, and service providers.
- Source materials, equipment, tools, consumables, mechanical items, piping materials, electrical items, fabrication materials, and project-specific requirements.
- Evaluate and negotiate with vendors to achieve competitive pricing, quality, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare and review comparative statements, purchase orders, work orders, and procurement documentation.
- Coordinate with Project, Planning, Engineering, Commercial, Stores, Accounts, and Operations teams to understand material requirements and project priorities.
- Monitor purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites.
- Track procurement status, pending orders, material shortages,



and delivery schedules through MIS/Excel reports.
- Identify alternative vendors and materials to reduce procurement costs and avoid project delays.
- Conduct vendor evaluation and performance monitoring based on quality, price, delivery, and reliability.
- Manage urgent and critical procurement requirements for ongoing projects.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, project specifications, and approved budgets.
- Maintain proper records of vendors, quotations, purchase orders, deliveries, and procurement transactions.
- Lead and supervise the procurement/purchase team and ensure timely completion of procurement activities.

Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 8 years of procurement/purchase experience, preferably in Oil & Gas, Pipeline, Shipbuilding/Ship Repair, EPC, or industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of industrial and project procurement.
- Experience in sourcing piping, mechanical, electrical, fabrication, construction, marine, and project-related materials.
- Strong vendor development and negotiation skills.
- Positive knowledge of commercial terms, quotations, comparative statements, purchase orders, and subcontracting.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills.
- Strong Excel and MIS reporting skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and urgent procurement requirements.
- Experience working with project teams and site operations is preferred.
- Candidates with an established vendor/supplier network in Kerala and other industrial locations will be preferred.

Educational Qualification Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with procurement experience in Oil & Gas EPC, pipeline construction, shipyards, ship repair, marine engineering, fabrication, and industrial construction projects will be given preference.
