Principal / Senior Data Engineer - Databricks | 10 Years | Bangalore / Hyderabad / GurgaonSummary An exciting opportunity for an experienced Principal / Senior Data Engineer to provide technical leadership across data engineering, architecture, and delivery. You will play a key role in designing and maintaining scalable data platforms that support business reporting, AI, and advanced analytics workloads.

Responsibilities

- Partner closely with business stakeholders to understand problems, shape requirements, and define data solutions with explicit outcomes.
- Lead and mentor the Data Engineering team, driving engineering best practices and delivery excellence.
- Provide technical leadership across architecture, development, troubleshooting, and delivery to ensure speed and quality of execution.
- Collaborate with Data Architects, Data Scientists, and Product Owners to enable business adoption of AI and advanced analytics-driven decision-making.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement by challenging existing processes and proposing new solutions.

Requirements

- 10 years of overall experience in technology/data engineering, with robust experience in Data & Analytics.
- 8 years of experience in Data & Analytics, including hands-on experience with Azure data engineering technologies.




- 7 years of recent experience with Azure services/tools.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Python, SQL, and PySpark.
- Strong experience with Databricks Unity Catalog for data governance and security.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD using DevOps.
- Experience designing scalable and secure data architectures and building AI-ready data platforms.
