About The Role We are looking for a Principal Officer – Payment Services to lead the regulatory, strategic and commercial development of the company’s Payment Service Provider (PSP) business in GIFT City. The role will combine regulatory ownership with product and business thinking. The individual will be responsible not only for ensuring compliance with IFSCA’s Payment Services framework, but also for identifying and developing new payment propositions that can be built from GIFT City and integrated with the company’s existing AD2 / forex, remittance and international travel ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

- PSP Regulatory Ownership
- Act as the Principal Officer and key point of contact for IFSCA on Payment Services matters.
- Ensure compliance with applicable IFSCA regulations, directions, reporting and governance requirements.
- Establish appropriate policies, controls, SOPs and compliance frameworks for PSP activities.




- Work closely with Compliance, Risk, Legal and Operations teams.
- GIFT City Opportunity Development
- Identify new payment and cross-border financial opportunities that can be offered through the GIFT City platform.
- Evaluate opportunities across international payments, remittances, foreign- currency accounts, cards, wallets and other permitted payment services.
- Track developments in the GIFT City ecosystem and translate regulatory changes into commercial opportunities.
- Develop business cases and go-to-market propositions in partnership with Product and Business teams.
- PSP + Existing Business
- Explore how the PSP licence can complement the existing AD2 forex business, including forex cards, cash forex and remittances.
- Identify opportunities to create an integrated proposition for international students, travellers, NRIs, corporates and other cross-border customers.
- Evaluate opportunities to improve customer acquisition, transaction economics and cross-border payment flows through the combination of GIFT City PSP and AD2 capabilities.
- Product Development
- Work with Product, Technology and Business teams to convert identified opportunities into scalable products.
- Explore propositions such as GIFT City-issued foreign-currency cards, international payment accounts, student/travel solutions and cross-border payment products, subject to applicable regulatory permissions.
- Define product proposition, customer segment, economics, partnerships and regulatory requirements.
- Partnerships & Ecosystem
- Identify and evaluate partnerships with banks, card networks, payment processors, fintechs, global payment platforms and other GIFT City entities.
- Work with potential banking and technology partners to develop new payment propositions.
- Build relationships within the GIFT City ecosystem and with relevant regulatory stakeholders.

Candidate Profile

- 5–10 years of experience across payments, fintech, banking, forex,



remittances or financial services.
- Strong understanding of payment regulations, cross-border payments and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience dealing with RBI/IFSCA or other financial regulators would be preferred.
- Solid product and commercial orientation
- Experience in launching or managing payment, card, forex, remittance or international financial products preferred.

Key Success Measures

- Effective regulatory management of the PSP licence.
- Number and quality of new GIFT City payment opportunities identified and developed.
- Successful launch of new PSP products/propositions.
- Integration of PSP capabilities with the existing AD2 business.
- Strategic partnerships established with banks, networks and payment ecosystem players.
- Revenue and transaction volumes generated from new PSP propositions.

Qualifications & Experience

- Qualified CA / CS / MBA (Finance) / LLB
- AML certifications (ACAMS / ICA) – preferred
- At least 3 years of compliance experience in AD Category II / Forex / Banking / Fintech
- Prior GIFT City / IFSC exposure is an advantage.
