- A Diploma/ Bachelor/ Master’s in library management/ library science with at least 3 years of experience in handling a library.
Key Responsibilities
- Instruction & Curriculum Support
- Teach information literacy, digital citizenship, and research skills to students.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to design units, integrate resources, and align learning objectives.
- Guide students in selecting age-appropriate reading materials to foster a reading culture.
- Library Management & Administration
- Curate, catalog, and maintain physical and digital library collections (books, databases, e-books).
- Manage the library budget, collection development, and purchasing.
- Oversee library automation systems (circulation, cataloging, inventory).
- Technology Integration
- Introduce and support educational technology tools for staff and students.
- Manage access to digital research databases and learning resources.
- Maintain the library website or virtual resource center.
- Leadership & Learning Setting
- Create a welcoming, inclusive, and conducive environment for independent study and group learning.
- Organize literacy initiatives, such as book fairs, author visits, and reading challenges.
- Stay updated on educational technology, children's/young adult literature, and library science trends.
