AMRA Services is conducting an executive search for a leading ₹600Cr+ Non-Ferrous Manufacturing Enterprise. We are seeking an experienced Plant Head / Plant Manager to take complete operational, technical, and P&L; leadership of a flagship manufacturing facility in Maharashtra.
Operating 14 extrusion press lines, an integrated foundry/cast house, a tool room/die shop, and automated surface treatment lines (Anodizing & Powder Coating), the organization delivers high-precision aluminium profiles to the Automotive, EV, Renewable Energy, and Architectural sectors.
This role reports directly to the CEO & COO and offers an extraordinary growth platform for an established operations leader.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall Plant Operations: Lead end-to-end plant operations, production planning, quality assurance, maintenance, EHS, and supply chain execution to achieve annual operational targets.
- Production Optimization & PPC: Drive maximum capacity utilization across 14 Extrusion Press lines, Foundry, Die Shop, Machine Shop, and Finishing units.
- Surface Treatment Oversight: Manage continuous operations of integrated Anodizing (9,600 MTPA) and automated Powder Coating lines, ensuring high quality and customer specifications.
- Process Excellence & Cost Control: Implement TPM, OEE, Lean, 5S, Kaizen, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to minimize scrap, improve recovery yield, and reduce operating costs.
- Die Shop & Tooling Management: Guide tool room/die correction teams on die design, maintenance, and lifetime performance optimization.
- Quality & Statutory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 standards, environmental regulations, and safety norms.
- Strategic Leadership: Drive plant-level Annual Business Plans (ABP), CAPEX proposals, and cross-functional team development.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Metallurgy, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering (Mandatory).
- Total Experience: 18 to 25+ years of dedicated experience in Aluminium Extrusion operations.
- Core Technical Expertise: Hands-on exposure to Extrusion Presses, Billet Heating Furnaces, Cast House / Foundry, Die Shop / Die Correction, and integrated Surface Treatment (Anodizing & Powder Coating).
- Leadership Track Record: Currently or previously serving as Plant Head, Factory Manager, GM Operations, or Unit Lead managing large teams.
- Location: Willingness to relocate to Maharashtra (Location supported with relocation assistance).
