Position Overview
Delhi Public School, Mahendra Hills is inviting applications from dynamic, qualified, and passionate educators for the position of Physics Teacher. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering conceptual clarity, scientific temper, and analytical problem-solving skills among students from Middle School through High School in alignment with the CBSE curriculum, National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 guidelines, and competitive exam readiness (JEE/NEET foundation).
Key Responsibilities
1. Curriculum Delivery & Classroom Teaching
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Physics lessons tailored for middle school (integrated science foundation) and high school (Class V–X core Physics).
- Employ experiential learning methodologies, real-world applications, and inquiry-based teaching aligned with NEP 2020 principles.
- Prepare comprehensive lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and study materials that cater to diverse student learning paces.
1. Laboratory Instruction & Practical Training
- Conduct regular, hands-on practical sessions in the Physics laboratory as mandated by CBSE board standards.
- Guide students in apparatus handling, measurement techniques, error analysis, and maintaining practical record books.
- Maintain strict laboratory safety protocols and ensure all equipment (optics, electronics, mechanics tools) is calibrated and functional.
1. Assessment & Academic Progress
- Design periodic tests,
term examinations, and mock tests according to CBSE pattern marking schemes.
- Maintain meticulous records of student academic performance, attendance, and behavioral growth.
- Provide targeted remediation for students needing additional support and enrichment activities for advanced learners.
- Conduct regular Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) to communicate progress and constructive feedback.
1. Competitive Exam Foundation & Co-Curriculars
- Integrate competitive exam foundation (JEE Main/NEET/NTSE/Olympiads) problem-solving techniques alongside standard board syllabus coverage.
- Encourage and mentor students to participate in Science Fairs, CBSE Science Exhibitions, and National Physics Olympiads.
- Contribute to school events, house activities, clubs, and administrative duties as assigned.
Candidate Qualifications & Requirements Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in Physics (M.Sc Physics) from a recognized university. B.Ed is mandatory as per CBSE guidelines.
Teaching Experience: 3 to 8 years of teaching Physics in a reputed CBSE/ICSE school (preferably TGT experience).
Subject Mastery: Deep knowledge of Mechanics, Electromagnetism, Optics, Thermodynamics, and Up-to-date Physics.
Tech Proficiency: Comfort with Smartboards, Learning Management Systems (LMS), PhET Interactive Simulations, and digital presentation tools.
Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills; strong interpersonal management.
Eligibility Exam: CTET / State TET qualification is preferred (especially for Middle School/TGT levels).
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
