Viraj Institute of Medical Science (VIMS) is hiring faculty to teach Operation Theatre Technology students at our campus in Chhoti Pahari, Patna, Bihar.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION

Completed B.Sc./Bachelor's degree in Operation Theatre Technology (OTT/BOTT) or Anaesthesia & Operation Theatre Technology (ATOT/BAOTT). A completed M.Sc. in these specialisations is preferred. Please state the exact degree, awarding university and completion year in your application. An engineering degree (B.E./B.Tech), IT degree or unrelated bachelor's degree alone does not meet this subject qualification.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

At least one year of hands-on hospital operation theatre experience or clinical training. List employed clinical work and internships separately, with dates. Previous OTT teaching, tutoring or clinical training experience is preferred. Experienced OT technologists who want to move into teaching are welcome to apply if they meet the qualification requirement and can demonstrate teaching ability.

You should be able to explain surgical instruments, OT preparation, aseptic technique, sterilisation/CSSD, infection control, surgical safety, anaesthesia equipment and perioperative patient monitoring clearly to students.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

- Deliver theory classes and practical demonstrations in Operation Theatre Technology.
- Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials aligned with the course syllabus.
- Teach instrument identification, OT equipment checks, sterile practices, patient safety and biomedical waste handling.
- Guide students during practical training and coordinate clinical learning with the institution's team.
- Conduct assignments, practical assessments and examinations; maintain academic records and give student feedback.
- Teach safe clinical practice within the appropriate scope and under clinical supervision where required.

Salary: ₹18,000–₹25,000 per month, based on verified qualifications and relevant experience.

Weekend availability is required. Candidates outside Patna must be willing to relocate before joining.
