Job Description

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Financial Controller will act as a business-facing finance partner and lead the financial planning and performance-management agenda.

Key responsibilities will include:
Owning MIS, budgeting, forecasting, P&L; reporting and variance analysis
Developing product-wise, customer-wise and business-unit profitability
Driving product costing, pricing, margin analysis and cost optimization
Partnering with manufacturing on BOM costing, inventory, yield, productivity and factory economics
Monitoring working capital, cash flow and treasury requirements
Reviewing commercial contracts, customer credit and payment terms
Strengthening financial controls, governance and management reporting
Developing dashboards and financial models for management decision-making




Supporting capex evaluation, recent plants and business-expansion initiatives
This is a business-facing role requiring the incumbent to explain performance, anticipate future outcomes and recommend appropriate actions.

The position would have a support team.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate should be:
A qualified Chartered Accountant
Possessing 8 to 17 years of post-qualification experience
Robust in FP&A;, MIS, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
Experienced in manufacturing finance, product costing and inventory control
Well versed in P&L; management, working capital and cash-flow planning
Commercially oriented and capable of partnering with operations, sales, supply chain and senior leadership
Solid in financial modelling, analytics and management presentations
Comfortable working directly with the Managing Director
Hands-on, agile and comfortable working in a rapidly
