Must have hands-on experience with install, test, troubleshoot, repair and maintenance on shipboard HVAC/Refrigeration systems and its associated equipment.
1. Responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing marine heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration systems .
2. diagnose and fix problems that they find in air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
3. reviewing blueprints, installing air conditioning systems, testing systems for proper functioning, performing emergency repairs, maintaining tools, ordering supplies, and making routine adjustments to maximize operational efficiency.
4. also record data when inspecting systems, such as temperature of equipment, fuel consumption and hours of operation
