Key Responsibilities
1. Monitor and track statutory and regulatory compliances applicable to the Company and its various business units / project sites.
2. Coordinate with internal departments and site teams for timely completion and closure of compliance requirements.
3. Review compliance requirements, applicability, due dates, supporting documents and evidence submitted by respective compliance owners.
4. Assist in identifying compliance gaps, overdue compliances and potential areas of non-compliance and coordinate for timely remediation.
5. Maintain and update compliance trackers, registers and other compliance-related records.
6. Support the implementation, administration and monitoring of the Company's compliance management system/tool.
7. Coordinate with external consultants / compliance service providers for compliance-related activities and reviews.
8. Assist in periodic compliance reviews, internal audits and compliance framework assessments.
9. Assist in reviewing and updating compliance requirements arising from changes in applicable laws, rules, regulations and notifications.
10. Assist in drafting, reviewing and vetting agreements, letters, undertakings, notices and other legal documents.
11. Assist in legal research and providing inputs on general corporate and commercial matters arising across the business.
12. Support the Legal team in general corporate,
regulatory and legal compliance-related matters as required.
Key Knowledge / Skills
1. Working knowledge of statutory and regulatory compliances applicable to companies and business operations.
2. Understanding of labour and employment laws, including the new Labour Codes and related regulatory developments.
3. Knowledge of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and applicable rules / regulatory framework.
4. Understanding of corporate, commercial and general regulatory laws.
5. Robust MS Excel skills, including maintaining compliance trackers, data analysis, filtering, sorting and preparing MIS.
6. Ability to independently track multiple compliances and timelines.
7. Ability to coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders, consultants and business/site teams.
Added Advantage
1. Prior experience of working with a compliance management tool, particularly the PwC Compliance tool.
2. Experience in handling compliance audits, compliance reviews or statutory compliance management for large organisations / infrastructure or energy companies.
3. Exposure to regulatory compliance requirements applicable to solar and/or biomass energy projects.
4. Prior experience in handling general corporate and commercial matters in an in-house legal team or law firm.
