HR Recruiter – Blue-Collar Recruitment

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced HR Recruiter with strong hands-on experience in blue-collar and industrial manpower recruitment. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing, screening, interviewing, and mobilizing skilled and semi-skilled workers for projects across marine, shipbuilding/ship repair, oil & gas, pipeline, civil construction, and industrial sectors.

The ideal candidate should have a strong network among workers, labour contractors, manpower suppliers, and industrial recruitment sources.

Key Responsibilities

- Recruit blue-collar, skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled workers for various industrial projects.
- Source candidates through labour contractors, manpower suppliers, worker networks, labour markets, industrial areas, job portals, social media, and referrals.
- Handle recruitment for trades such as welders, fitters, fabricators, electricians, plumbers, masons, carpenters, painters, helpers, riggers, technicians, supervisors, and other industrial workers.
- Conduct initial screening and telephonic/face-to-face interviews.
- Verify candidates' trade skills, experience, documents, availability, salary expectations, and willingness to relocate/travel.
- Maintain an active database of available workers and trade-wise manpower.
- Coordinate trade tests and technical assessments where required.
- Coordinate worker mobilization, joining, travel, accommodation, and other deployment requirements.
- Coordinate with labour contractors and manpower suppliers to meet urgent manpower requirements.




- Maintain daily recruitment trackers and provide regular manpower status reports to management.
- Follow up with shortlisted candidates until joining and ensure minimum dropouts.
- Develop and maintain a strong network of workers and recruitment sources across different locations.
- Visit labour markets, industrial areas, shipyards, construction sites, workshops, and other manpower hubs for direct sourcing when required.
- Support bulk recruitment drives and field recruitment campaigns.
- Ensure proper collection and verification of worker documents before deployment.

Required Experience
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in blue-collar / industrial manpower recruitment.
- Experience in recruiting workers for construction, shipyard, marine, oil & gas, pipeline, fabrication, engineering, or industrial projects is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of blue-collar trades and worker availability.
- Existing network of workers, contractors, or manpower suppliers will be an advantage.
- Experience in bulk manpower recruitment and urgent mobilization is preferred.
- Candidates with only corporate/white-collar recruitment experience will not be preferred.
