Department: Housekeeping

Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor / Executive Housekeeper

Job Summary

Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, presentation, and overall standards of guest rooms, public areas, and other assigned areas of the hotel. The position also assists in ensuring smooth daily housekeeping operations, proper coordination with other departments, and high standards of guest service.

Key Responsibilities

- Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, public areas, and other assigned areas according to hotel standards.
- Make beds and replace bed linen, towels, and other required room supplies.
- Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, sanitize, and maintain all assigned areas.
- Replenish guest amenities, housekeeping supplies, and other room requirements.
- Ensure guest rooms are properly arranged, clean, and ready for guest occupancy.
- Check completed rooms to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and required amenities meet hotel standards.
- Report maintenance defects, damages, lost and found items, and other issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Handle guest belongings and hotel property with care and follow proper Lost & Found procedures.
- Respond politely and professionally to guest requests and housekeeping-related complaints.
- Coordinate with Front Office and other departments regarding room status, guest requirements, and maintenance issues.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of housekeeping stores, linen rooms, equipment, and work areas.
- Use cleaning chemicals, equipment, and machinery safely and correctly.
- Assist the Housekeeping Supervisor in allocating work and monitoring the activities of housekeeping attendants when required.
- Guide and support junior housekeeping staff and assist in training new employees on proper cleaning procedures.




- Ensure assigned duties are completed within the required time and maintain proper room status updates.
- Assist during VIP arrivals, special functions, high-occupancy periods, inspections, and other hotel activities.
- Ensure proper handover of duties between shifts.
- Follow all hotel policies, hygiene standards, safety procedures, grooming standards, and departmental SOPs.
- Maintain skilled conduct, teamwork, discipline, and a positive attitude at all times.
- Report staff performance, attendance, discipline, or operational issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor when required.
- Assist in maintaining proper linen, amenities, and housekeeping inventory control.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Executive Housekeeper.

Qualification & Experience
- Minimum qualification: Diploma & Degree in Hotel Management equivalent.
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping is preferred.
- Relevant experience may be considered for Senior Housekeeping Attendant responsibilities.
- Knowledge of hotel housekeeping standards and procedures will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
