Role Description The Production Manager – Injectables will oversee end-to-end injectable manufacturing operations in a pharmaceutical unit, ensuring compliance with regulatory, quality, and safety standards. This full-time, on-site role is based in Delhi, India, and involves managing production planning, resource allocation, and process optimization for sterile injectable products.

The role includes supervising production teams, coordinating with QA, QC, Maintenance, and Supply Chain, and ensuring adherence to cGMP and regulatory guidelines.

The Production

Manager will monitor batch execution, troubleshoot process issues, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain documentation for audits and inspections.



The position also requires regular reporting on production performance, cost efficiency, and capacity utilization to support organizational goals.

Qualifications

- Robust expertise in injectable manufacturing operations within a pharma unit, with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
- Sound knowledge of sterile manufacturing processes, aseptic techniques, and equipment used in injectable production.
- Proficiency in cGMP, regulatory guidelines (e.g., WHO, GMP, Schedule M), and documentation practices for audits and inspections.
- Experience in production planning, resource management, and process optimization to meet volume, quality, and cost targets.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor production teams, manage shift operations, and foster a safety- and quality-focused culture.
- Capability to collaborate effectively with QA, QC, Engineering, and Supply Chain for smooth plant operations and timely product delivery.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail in process control and deviation management.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field; advanced qualifications in operations or quality are an advantage.
- Familiarity with validation activities, SOP implementation, and continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma is preferred.
- Effective communication and reporting skills, with ability to use basic production and quality management software tools.
