1D Simulation Engineer:

Bachelors/master’s degree in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering

3 to 10 Years of experience in automotive simulation, vehicle performance, Climate Control and thermal management

Robust basic knowledge in Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer and Multi-phase flows

Robust knowledge in CFD fundamentals

Cooling and Lubrication (C&L;) Systems and 3D Thermal CAE using STAR CCM+, Hyper mesh

Perform 1D system simulations using GT Suite to analyze and optimize vehicle performance, Climate control and thermal management systems.

Calibrated thermal system that keeps the EDU within safe operating limits with derate functions in place.

Thermal model accurately predicts system temperatures in real world driving conditions

Develop current methodologies and handover to program tea m for day-to-day simulations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand design requirements and develop simulation models accordingly.
