Are you an experienced Class A CDL truck driver looking for a challenging and rewarding career hauling oversized, overweight, and specialized freight? We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Heavy Haul Truck Driver to join our team.

This traveling position offers 40 regular hours plus 10 overtime hours guaranteed each week, a $143 daily per diem, and a $100 monthly phone reimbursement, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

What You'll Do

Safely operate heavy haul trucks, tractors, trailers, and specialized transportation equipment.

Transport oversized, overweight, and specialized freight, including construction equipment and industrial machinery.

Perform thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.

Properly secure cargo using chains, straps, binders, and other approved load securement equipment.

Plan and follow routes while considering permits, bridge clearances, road restrictions, construction zones, and weather conditions.

Follow all DOT, FMCSA, federal, state, local, and company safety regulations.

Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, permits, and transportation records.

Communicate with dispatchers, customers, pilot car/escort operators, permitting agencies, and other transportation personnel.

Monitor truck and trailer performance and promptly report maintenance or equipment concerns.

Respond professionally to delays, route changes, road restrictions, and unexpected transportation challenges.

Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers, coworkers, and the public.

Heavy Haul Driver Qualifications





Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

Clean driving record and ability to meet all DOT requirements.

Minimum 4 Years Of Commercial Driving Experience.

Heavy haul or specialized transportation experience preferred.

Knowledge of oversized and overweight load regulations and permitting requirements.

Experience Operating Various Trailer Configurations, Including

Lowboys

RGNs (Removable Gooseneck)

Step decks

Flatbeds

Strong understanding of cargo and load securement procedures.

Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to travel for extended periods and work adaptable schedules.

Candidates With The Following Experience Are Encouraged To Apply

Oversized or super-load hauling experience.

Heavy equipment loading and unloading.

Pilot car and escort coordination.

Route surveys and specialized route planning.

Experience navigating permits, clearances, restrictions, and challenging routes.

Solid safety record and commitment to accident prevention.

Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding position requiring drivers to work both in and outside of a manufacturing and transportation environment.

Candidates Must Be Able To

Lift up to 100 pounds.

Climb, walk, bend, stoop, twist, balance, lift, and handle materials.

Perform physical activities requiring considerable use of the arms and legs.

Work extended shifts, including weekends when required.





Work outdoors and in environments exposed to extreme temperatures and loud noise.

Demonstrate manual dexterity and arm-hand steadiness.

Maintain concentration and attention to detail for extended periods.

Observe, process, and respond appropriately to information from multiple sources.

Follow strict safety procedures while working around heavy equipment and specialized loads.

Education & Experience

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Relevant commercial driving, heavy haul, specialized transportation, equipment hauling, or military transportation experience may be considered in addition to formal education.
