EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITY | HEAD ENGINEERING- CLUSTER BUSINESS

Role Overview The Engineering Head will provide strategic leadership for the engineering function of the Cluster Business, driving technology leadership, product innovation, and engineering excellence in alignment with business growth objectives. The role will lead end-to-end product and technology development, from concept and advanced engineering through customer engagement and product industrialisation, while strengthening engineering capabilities, technical competencies and innovation pipelines. The position will play a key role in developing next-generation cluster and interior kinematics solutions, enhancing the organisation’s technology portfolio and delivering differentiated products that strengthen customer value and business competitiveness

Key Responsibilities:

Product Development & Innovation

- Lead the development of new and next-generation products and strengthen the D-list portfolio.
- Drive product benchmarking, feature comparison and competitive analysis.
- Lead the design and development of advanced cluster systems and related technologies.

RFQ & Business Support

- Support RFQs with suitable product concepts, BOMs, assembly concepts and manufacturing inputs for competitive costing.
- Lead technical discussions during customer approval stages to support new business acquisition.
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop strong technical proposals.

Customer Engagement

- Represent the engineering function in customer meetings and present technology,



product and innovation capabilities.
- Provide technical support during project execution and after SOP.
- Build strong customer relationships through effective technical support and problem-solving.

Engineering Excellence & Capability Building

- Lead concept development and technical feasibility studies for complex products and processes.
- Review and validate 3D models, assemblies and engineering drawings.
- Guide and mentor design and engineering teams, particularly on kinematic mechanisms.
- Establish engineering standards, guidelines and best practices.

Strategic Engineering Management

- Improve engineering processes, systems, and working methods.
- Identify engineering capability and skill gaps based on future business requirements.
- Drive technology adoption, skill development, and engineering capability enhancement.
- Work with business and functional leaders to align engineering activities with business goals.

Desired Profile

- Solid experience in automotive product engineering and cluster systems.
- Experience in leading engineering teams in the automotive industry.
- Good knowledge of product development, concept engineering, RFQs, customer handling and new product development.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with automotive OEMs and handling complex engineering projects.
- The role will lead engineering for a high-growth automotive business with more than ₹1,000 Crore turnover, focusing on innovation and technical growth.
