Role Description The Head of Design Partnerships is a full time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for building and leading strategic collaborations with designers, interior studios, and other creative partners. This role oversees the end-to-end design partnership lifecycle, from identifying and onboarding partners to co-developing collections that align with Estré’s brand and customer experience.

Day-to-day activities include guiding design concepts, reviewing visual and product design proposals, coordinating with product, operations, and marketing teams, and ensuring that custom furniture offerings remain innovative and market-relevant. The role also involves negotiating partnership terms, maintaining long-term relationships, and establishing design standards that reflect Estré’s commitment to quality and sustainability.



The Head of Design Partnerships will lead a small cross-functional team, provide mentorship, and monitor performance metrics related to partner-driven design initiatives.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated expertise in design leadership and Design Management, including experience guiding multidisciplinary design teams and external design partners.
- Strong Visual Design and Branding skills, with the ability to ensure cohesive design language across product lines and partner collaborations.
- Proficiency in Product Design, especially in furniture or consumer goods, with a solid understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and user-centered design.
- Exposure to Interior Design, including working with interior designers or studios to integrate furniture solutions into broader spatial concepts.
- Proven experience developing and managing strategic partnerships within the design, retail, or lifestyle sector.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present design concepts and partnership proposals clearly.
- Comfort working on-site in Bengaluru and collaborating closely with artisans, product, and operations teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Product Design, Interior Design, or a related field; relevant industry experience may be considered in place of formal education.
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices and interest in eco-friendly materials and processes is highly beneficial.
