JOB DESCRIPTION: Senior Global Payroll Specialist

Location: Bengaluru or Chennai, India

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Global Payroll Specialist to own end-to-end payroll operations across our global entities. This role is suited for someone who thrives in a quick-paced fintech workplace, can independently manage multiple country payrolls, and is comfortable building processes as the organisation scales.

You will work closely with Finance, People, and external payroll partners to ensure payroll is accurate, compliant, well-controlled and delivered on time

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Global Payroll Operations
• Own monthly payroll processing across multiple countries.

• Manage payroll inputs covering joiners, exits, salary revisions, bonuses, incentives and full & final settlements.

• Review payroll registers, exception reports and month-on-month variances before sign-off.

• Coordinate salary payments and off-cycle payroll requirements.

• Maintain country-wise payroll calendars and timelines.

Statutory & Compliance
• Ensure timely payroll tax,



social security and other statutory filings and payments.

• Maintain country-specific compliance checklists and supporting documentation.

• Track regulatory changes impacting payroll and coordinate implementation with local providers.

• Support year-end payroll reporting and employee tax documentation.

Payroll Controls & Reconciliation
• Reconcile payroll registers to bank payments, accounting records and statutory liabilities.

• Review payroll journals, accruals and payroll-related balance sheet accounts.

• Strengthen maker-checker controls and payroll approval workflows.

• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly.

• Maintain complete audit trails and payroll documentation

Stakeholder & Vendor Management
• Partner with People, Finance and Treasury teams on payroll-related matters.

• Manage third-party payroll providers and COR partners across jurisdictions.
