Global Business Development Manager (Energy & Utility Automation)
- Technical Bridge: Act as the critical technical link connecting cutting-edge product teams, the sales force, and utility customers.
- Market Adoption: Drive the market adoption of Energy Interconnection & Orchestration solutions by translating complex utility requirements into scalable technical architectures.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Actively prospect and engage with key stakeholders across utilities, aggregators, and solar/EV developers to uncover critical pain points.
- Design Win Ownership: Take full ownership of the early-stage "design win" lifecycle, including orchestrating technical consultations, product demonstrations, POCs, and pilot programs.
- Sales Air Cover: Provide technical "air cover" for the sales team by leading winning RFI/RFP responses, crafting Statements of Work (SOW), and feeding the "voice of the customer" back to Product Management.
The Candidate:
- Experienced Solution Seller: Possesses 8 to 15 years of total experience, featuring a proven track record of success in software and complex solution selling within the energy and utility automation sector.
- Domain Expert: Holds a deep understanding of Grid Modernization and Distributed Energy Resource (DER) Integration.
- Protocol & Product Specialist: Features hands-on expertise in Smart Grid protocols (specifically IEEE 2030.5 and OpenADR), DERMS, and Virtual Power Plants (VPP).
- Technically Grounded Graduate: Holds a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (with an MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- Regulatory-Savvy Communicator: Demonstrates exceptional presentation skills to articulate cloud/edge computing concepts, paired with a solid familiarity with the evolving regulatory landscape (FERC orders, energy market participation, and modern utility business models).
