POD Foundry is a well-funded US startup, targeting the huge $1T+ real estate space. In particular, the company is manufacturing highly differentiable breakthrough prefabricated building modules (PODs) that completely disrupt how buildings are built. POD Foundry modules are multi-disciplinary and utilize innovations across all building disciplines, architecture, structure and MEPF services.

POD Foundry is setting up its first factory in Vizag which will be completely export oriented. You will have the opportunity to witness the entire factory setup cycle from sketch to mass production. We are getting together best in class structural engineers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, plumbing engineers, BIM Engineers/Architects, QA/QC professionals and managers, among others.

You will have the opportunity to work on all stages of the building module development lifecycle in the factory, that is prototyping, EVT, DVT, PVT & MP. Department: Production

Experience: 10 -15 years in hands-on electrical execution

Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering preferred; relevant diploma acceptable with strong practical construction experience

Industry: Construction experience mandatory; PEB, modular, off-site, or factory-prefabricated MEP experience preferred

Work Location: SEZ Visakhapatnam, with site visits during installation, testing, commissioning, and handover

Role Summary

Lead factory planning, prefabrication,



assembly, testing, and dispatch of electrical systems for modular and PEB projects, followed by site installation, energization, and commissioning support. Own shop-floor safety, workmanship, productivity, and delivery, coordinating with design, production, quality, procurement, logistics, other disciplines, utilities, and site teams.

Key Responsibilities and Capabilities

- Manage HT/LT distribution, transformers, DG sets, UPS, AC/DC panels, bus ducts, containment, cabling, lighting, earthing, lightning protection, and solar/BESS and ELV interfaces, as applicable.
- Interpret approved drawings, specifications, BOQs, SLDs, load and cable schedules, and protection schemes. Resolve constructability issues and prepare assembly details, wiring schedules, cutting lists, and shop-floor work instructions.
- Supervise conduit cutting, bending, threading, and installation; cable-tray fabrication and assembly; and installation of boxes, supports, flexible connections, and module interfaces. Verify routing, segregation, bend radii, accessibility, and penetration coordination.
- Oversee cable pulling, dressing, gland installation, lug crimping, termination, ferruling, and labelling. Verify conductor sizes, polarity, phase identification, termination torque, and protection against mechanical damage.
- Manage installation and approved assembly of panels, distribution boards, bus ducts, switches, receptacles, and lighting. Verify equipment ratings, protective devices, circuit directories, working clearances, grounding/bonding, and maintenance access.
- Prepare daily and weekly production plans; allocate manpower, materials, workstations, tools, crimping dies, torque tools, and calibrated instruments. Monitor output, milestones, and recovery actions.
- Verify quantities, incoming materials, equipment approvals, and required certifications. Support technical bids, vendor selection, procurement,



and factory acceptance testing; supervise contractors and protect completed work.
- Implement inspection and test plans covering continuity, insulation resistance, polarity, grounding/bonding, earth resistance, protective devices, interlocks, and functional operation. Use approved procedures suitable for connected equipment and maintain traceable records.
- Control temporary power, isolation, lockout/tagout, permits, and energization readiness. Coordinate authorized personnel, shutdowns, protection testing, commissioning, and utility or statutory inspections.
- Ensure dispatch readiness through dimensional and interface checks, circuit identification, secured connections, and transport protection. Identify site connections and required retesting; coordinate snag closure.
- Maintain RFIs, approvals, progress reports, variations, cost impacts, and corrective actions. Reduce recurring defects and support measurement, billing, as-builts, O&M; manuals, warranties, training, and handover.

Competencies and Preferred Profile Hands-on factory leadership, practical fault-finding, trade-team mentoring, and multidisciplinary coordination, with strong control of safety, quality, cost, and schedule. Drawing interpretation and MS Office/reporting skills are essential; AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, ETAP, or planning-software knowledge is desirable.

Codes and Standards: Working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and other applicable NEC requirements as adopted, applicable US state and local electrical requirements, including Washington State requirements for relevant projects; NFPA 70E electrical safety practices; applicable regulations and NEC standards; required NRTL listings/certifications, including relevant UL standards; and manufacturer installation instructions.
