Role Description The Electrical Engineer role at L&T; Construction is a full-time, on-site position based in Ranchi. The role involves preparing and reviewing electrical designs, drawings, and specifications for industrial and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.

Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with project managers, civil and mechanical teams, and vendors to integrate electrical systems, supporting installation, testing, and commissioning activities at the project site.

The Electrical

Engineer will monitor power distribution and electrical systems performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain safety, reliability,



and efficiency. The role also includes preparing technical documentation, supporting procurement with technical evaluations, and contributing to continuous improvement and adherence to health, safety, and environmental practices.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering, with solid understanding of Electricity and core engineering principles.
- Proficiency in Electrical Design, including preparation and review of drawings, layouts, and technical specifications.
- Hands-on experience with Power Distribution systems, including switchgear, transformers, and protective devices.
- Knowledge of Power Systems analysis, load calculations, fault studies, and system protection coordination.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Familiarity with relevant Indian and international electrical codes and standards.
- Ability to work in office in a project environment, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and manage multiple tasks under time constraints.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to safety and quality.
- Experience in large industrial or infrastructure projects and proficiency in design and simulation tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar) would be beneficial.
