About the Role

HENRY Technologies is looking for a hands-on Edge AI & Computer Vision Integration Engineer with strong experience in cameras, microprocessors, device connectivity, and cloud integration.

Our goal is to capture images and video, use computer vision to detect potential safety and security concerns, store relevant images and detection data in the cloud, and display the results on the HENRY website and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

The primary focus of this role is camera selection, connectivity, streaming, edge processing, and cloud integration. You will also contribute to computer vision detection code and support future integration with mobile rovers and robotic platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Evaluate and recommend suitable cameras based on image quality, streaming capabilities, connectivity, compatibility, and operating conditions.
- Configure and integrate IP cameras, USB cameras, and other suitable imaging devices.
- Set up image capture and video streaming using RTSP, camera APIs, SDKs, and relevant protocols.
- Configure Raspberry Pi or similar microprocessor-based edge devices for image capture, preprocessing, and computer vision inference.
- Develop pipelines to transfer images or video streams from cameras to edge devices and cloud processing services.
- Store detection images, relevant video clips, and associated metadata in cloud storage.
- Collaborate with website and Microsoft Business Central developers to retrieve and display stored images and detection results through secure APIs.
- Assist in developing, integrating, and improving computer vision detection code using Python, OpenCV, and relevant frameworks.
- Troubleshoot camera connections, network issues, streaming failures, device performance, and cloud uploads.
- Implement logging,

automatic reconnection, local buffering, and retry mechanisms to maintain reliable operation.
- Support future integration of cameras, sensors, and processing devices with mobile rovers and robotic platforms.
- Maintain documentation covering device configurations, architecture, deployment, and troubleshooting.

Required Skills and Experience

- 4-6 years of relevant experience in camera integration, embedded or edge computing, computer vision, or related engineering roles.
- Robust practical knowledge of cameras, microprocessors, device interfaces, and connectivity.
- Hands-on experience with IP cameras, RTSP streaming, camera configuration, and video capture.
- Experience configuring and working with Raspberry Pi or comparable Linux-based edge devices.
- Proficiency in Python and OpenCV for image capture, processing, and integration.
- Understanding of computer vision models, including object detection and deploying existing models for inference.
- Working knowledge of networking, including IP addressing, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, ports, and remote device access.
- Experience integrating REST APIs and uploading images, video clips, and metadata to cloud services.
- Familiarity with video streaming and processing tools such as FFmpeg or GStreamer.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, networking, software, and cloud components.
- Familiarity with Git and technical documentation.
- Good written and spoken English,

with the ability to explain technical issues clearly and collaborate effectively with a remote team.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of implementation and troubleshooting.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly Azure Blob Storage and related cloud services.
- Familiarity with NVIDIA Jetson or other edge AI platforms.
- Knowledge of ONVIF and camera-specific SDKs.
- Experience with detection frameworks such as YOLO, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
- Exposure to ROS/ROS 2, mobile rovers, robotics, or sensor integration.
- Familiarity with Docker, remote device monitoring, and deployment automation.
- Experience integrating image analysis results into dashboards or enterprise applications.
- Exposure to industrial safety monitoring, security systems, or video analytics.

Work Arrangement and Equipment

- This is a remote, work-from-home role.
- We are seeking candidates who can join immediately.
- Candidates with their own laptop capable of supporting the required development tools and workloads are preferred.
- A reliable internet connection and the ability to collaborate effectively with a remote team are required.

Expected Outcome

Build and maintain a reliable end-to-end workflow:

Camera Capture → Edge or Cloud Processing → Safety/Security Detection → Cloud Storage → Display on the HENRY Website and Microsoft Business Central.

The solution should capture usable images, process detections, store relevant evidence, make results accessible to connected applications, and recover from routine connectivity interruptions.

How to Apply

Please share your updated CV and examples of relevant projects involving cameras, streaming, edge devices, computer vision, cloud integration, or robotics. Briefly describe your individual contribution, including the hardware you configured and the software you developed.
