Role Description The Documentation Engineer is a full-time, in office role based in Mumbai. This position is responsible for creating, organizing, and maintaining technical documentation for sanitary valves, pumps, fittings, and high-purity water systems, including manuals, specifications, process documents, and compliance records.
Day-to-day tasks include gathering information from engineering, production, and quality teams; translating technical details into clear, user-friendly documents; and ensuring all documentation meets regulatory, safety, and internal standards.
The Documentation
Engineer will manage version control, update documents in line with design or process changes, and support audits and certifications by providing accurate and timely documentation.
The role also involves coordinating with cross-functional teams to standardize documentation formats, improve documentation workflows, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills, including the ability to create clear manuals, SOPs, specifications, and reports.
- Proficiency with documentation tools and software (e.g., MS Office, PDF editors, version control systems, or document management systems).
- Understanding of engineering concepts, preferably related to mechanical systems, industrial equipment, or fluid handling technologies.
- Knowledge of quality standards, regulatory requirements, and compliance documentation in manufacturing or industrial settings.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple documents and projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams.
- Ability to analyze technical data, drawings, and specifications and convert them into structured, accurate documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Technical Writing, Documentation, or a related field; experience in industrial or manufacturing documentation is an advantage.
- Candidate should be familiar and able to use AutoCAD software.
