Django, API & WebSocket Developer

Job Overview

We are looking for a *Django, API & WebSocket Developer with strong experience in Python backend development, REST APIs, real-time communication, and database-driven applications. The primary focus will be on *Django, API development, WebSockets, and backend architecture, with moderate exposure to frontend/full-stack development.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain scalable backend applications using **Python and Django**.
- Design, develop, and integrate **RESTful APIs**.
- Build **real-time applications using WebSockets** and technologies such as Django Channels.
- Implement real-time data streaming, notifications, live updates, and event-driven functionality.
- Design secure APIs with authentication, authorization, validation, and error handling.
- Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
- Work with **PostgreSQL / MySQL / SQL Server** and optimize database queries.
- Implement background processing using technologies such as **Celery and Redis** where required.
- Debug, optimize, and improve application performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate APIs and real-time services.
- Handle moderate frontend development using **React.js, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS**.
- Participate in deployment, monitoring,



and maintenance of production applications.

Required Skills

- Strong proficiency in **Python**.
- Strong hands-on experience with **Django and Django REST Framework (DRF)**.
- Strong understanding of **REST API development and third-party API integration**.
- Strong experience with **WebSockets / real-time communication**.
- Experience with **Django Channels, Redis, or similar real-time technologies**.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
- Understanding of **JWT, OAuth, session-based authentication, and API security**.
- Good knowledge of Git and version control.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Full-Stack / Frontend

- Basic to intermediate experience with **React.js**.
- Good understanding of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Ability to consume REST APIs and WebSocket streams from frontend applications.
- Frontend development will be a **secondary responsibility**.

Valuable to Have

- Experience with **AWS**.
- Docker and CI/CD.
- Celery and Redis.
- WebSocket-based real-time dashboards.
- Event-driven architecture.
- Microservices.
- Experience with financial/trading APIs or other high-frequency data applications.

Pay: Up to ₹50,000.00 per month
