Hiring: Director – Human Resources

About the Role bluCursor is looking for an experienced, business-focused and hands-on Director – Human Resources to lead our HR function from our Indore headquarters.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping our people strategy, strengthening organizational capabilities, building a high-performance culture, and ensuring we have the right talent, leadership and HR framework to support our continued growth.
The Director – HR will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team and Functional Heads, serving as a strategic people partner while maintaining strong ownership of HR execution across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- HR Leadership & Business Partnership
- Own and drive the overall HR strategy aligned with business objectives and growth plans.
- Partner with the Executive Leadership Team on workforce planning, organizational structure, leadership requirements and critical people decisions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on talent, performance, succession, compensation and employee relations.
- Proactively identify organizational challenges, capability gaps and people-related risks and drive them to resolution.
- Build scalable HR processes and practices to support organizational growth.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Lead end-to-end talent acquisition across technology, delivery, sales, leadership and corporate functions.
- Develop workforce plans aligned with business requirements and future capability needs.
- Build strong talent pipelines for critical and leadership positions.
- Improve quality of hire, hiring turnaround time and offer-to-joining ratios.
- Strengthen bluCursor’s employer brand and talent-market presence.
Performance Management & Accountability
- Own and continuously strengthen the performance-management framework.
- Establish clear goals, KPIs, appraisal processes and accountability mechanisms.
- Partner with Functional Heads to identify high performers, capability gaps and performance concerns.
- Drive a culture of ownership, accountability, transparency and high performance.
Leadership & Organization Development
- Strengthen leadership and managerial capabilities across the organization.
- Establish succession planning for critical positions.
- Identify and develop high-potential employees.
- Coach managers on performance management, feedback, team development and people leadership.
- Build learning and development initiatives aligned with business requirements.
Employee Engagement & Retention
- Develop strategies to improve employee engagement and retention.
- Proactively understand employee sentiment and organizational concerns.
- Analyze attrition trends and drive appropriate corrective actions.
- Manage grievances, conflicts and sensitive employee matters with maturity, fairness and confidentiality.
HR Operations, Policies & Compliance
- Own the complete employee lifecycle from onboarding through separation.
- Develop and continuously improve HR policies, processes and governance.
- Ensure compliance with applicable employment and labour regulations.
- Oversee attendance, leave, employee records, payroll coordination, advantages and HR administration.
Compensation & HR Analytics
- Lead compensation benchmarking, appraisal, increment and promotion processes.
- Build meaningful HR dashboards covering headcount, hiring, attrition, retention, employee cost, performance, engagement and critical talent risks.
- Provide the Executive Leadership Team with insights, recommendations and actionable solutions—not just reports.
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in IT services, software, technology or professional services.
- Experience in a senior HR role such as Director HR, Head HR, Senior HR Manager or HRBP Lead.
- Proven experience partnering with senior/executive leadership.
- Strong expertise across talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, compensation, retention, HR operations and organizational development.
- Strong understanding of Indian employment practices and statutory compliance.
- Experience building HR processes in a growing organization.
- Strong business acumen, leadership and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
- Data-driven approach to HR and organizational decision-making.
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent qualification preferred.
