About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Development Team Lead to lead a high-performing software engineering team responsible for designing, developing, and delivering scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Java or Python, hands-on experience with React, and a proven track record of leading engineering teams while ensuring high-quality software delivery.

This role requires a balance of technical leadership, people management, and delivery ownership, working closely with Product, QA, and DevOps teams to build reliable and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and mentor a team of software developers, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software.
- Own the end-to-end technical delivery of assigned projects.
- Break down business requirements into technical tasks and assign work to team members.
- Prepare development estimates, prioritize work, and monitor delivery timelines.
- Conduct pull request reviews and enforce coding standards and engineering best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and resolve complex implementation challenges.
- Make technical decisions within the approved application architecture.
- Identify delivery risks, technical dependencies, and unclear requirements early and proactively communicate mitigation plans.
- Balance delivery speed, software quality, and technical debt.
- Mentor developers through regular feedback, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate effectively with Product Managers, QA Leads, and DevOps teams.
- Track project progress and communicate status, risks, blockers, and proposed solutions to stakeholders.
- Escalate significant architectural or technical decisions to the Product Tech Lead when required.

Required Skills & Experience





- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 812+ years of software development experience.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Java or Python, with practical working knowledge of the other language.
- Strong experience with React.js and modern frontend development.
- Strong understanding of backend systems, REST APIs, microservices, and scalable application architecture.
- Experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Experience working with Git and contemporary software development workflows.
- Strong knowledge of software design principles, code quality, and development best practices.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working with DevOps practices and deployment automation.
- Familiarity with software performance optimization and scalable distributed systems.
