Role Description The Design Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position located in Chennai.

The Design

Engineer will be responsible for developing and refining designs for storage equipment and related automotive components, ensuring they meet functional, safety, and quality requirements. Day-to-day tasks include creating and updating CAD models and drawings, collaborating with fabrication and production teams, and supporting prototype development and testing.



The role also involves working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to optimize product designs for manufacturability, cost, and performance, while maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to company standards.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Design Engineering and Product Design, with the ability to translate requirements into practical, manufacturable solutions.
- Solid foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with understanding of materials, fabrication processes, and manufacturing methods.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA or similar) for 3D modeling and detailed drawings.
- Basic knowledge of Electrical Engineering principles relevant to automotive or industrial equipment is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in fabrication, powder coating, or automotive/industrial manufacturing environments is beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Chennai, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple design projects within deadlines.
