Role Description The Design Architect will work on-site in Mumbai in a full-time capacity, collaborating with senior architects, designers, and project teams to develop design concepts from inception through execution. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and refining architectural drawings, assisting in design development, and coordinating construction documentation. The role involves participating in client and consultant meetings, translating project requirements into functional and aesthetic design solutions, and ensuring compliance with local building codes and regulations.
The Design
Architect will support design management activities, contribute to material and product selection,
and work closely with engineering and construction stakeholders to resolve design and detailing issues. The position requires active involvement in project reviews, design presentations, and ongoing quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, with the ability to develop conceptual and detailed design solutions.
- Experience in Design Management, including coordinating design stages, managing timelines, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in preparing and reviewing Construction Drawings and technical documentation aligned with relevant codes and standards.
- Effective Communication skills for engaging with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture from a recognized institution; professional licensure or registration is an advantage.
- Competency in industry-standard design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Suite) and familiarity with BIM workflows.
- Knowledge of local building regulations, materials, and construction practices, particularly in the Indian context.
- Ability to work on-site, manage multiple tasks, pay attention to detail, and contribute positively to a collaborative studio environment.
