We are looking for a Deputy Operations Consultant who can support consulting assignments, work closely with client teams, and contribute to the successful implementation of process improvement and operational excellence initiatives.

Job Summary The Deputy Operations Consultant will support Senior Operations Consultants and Project Managers in executing client projects across manufacturing and service organizations.

The role involves process analysis, operational improvement, data analysis, SOP development, project coordination, shop-floor implementation, and client coordination. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working both at the management level and directly with shop-floor teams.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Process Improvement

- Understand client requirements, business processes, and operational challenges.
- Analyze existing production, manufacturing, and operational processes to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Support implementation of process improvement initiatives and operational best practices.
- Apply operational excellence methodologies such as 5S, Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement.
- Support productivity, quality, efficiency, and cost-improvement initiatives.
- Conduct process studies, observations, and gap assessments at client locations.

Documentation & Systems

- Create, update, and maintain SOPs, work instructions, process flows, process maps, and skills matrices.




- Support development and implementation of operational systems and standard formats.
- Prepare project plans, review sheets, action trackers, and implementation documents.
- Maintain proper project documentation and ensure timely updates.

Data Analysis & Reporting

- Collect, validate, and analyze operational and production data.
- Develop and maintain operational reports and dashboards.
- Implement reporting formats and performance measurement systems on the shop floor.
- Track KPIs and operational metrics and highlight gaps or improvement areas.
- Prepare project review reports and management presentations using MS Excel and PowerPoint.

Client & Project Coordination

- Coordinate with client management, supervisors, engineers, and shop-floor teams.
- Support Senior Consultants and Project Managers in project execution.
- Follow up on action plans and ensure timely completion of assigned activities.
- Participate in client review meetings and implementation discussions.
- Assist in audits of implemented systems and prepare review reports.
- Communicate project progress, observations, and action items effectively.

Team Support

- Guide and support junior team members in completing assigned project activities.
- Ensure quality and timely completion of deliverables.
- Collaborate with internal consulting teams to achieve project objectives.

Experience Required

- 4–6 years of relevant experience in:
- Production

- Experience in a consulting or project-based environment will be an added advantage.

Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of manufacturing and/or operations processes.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement.
- Process mapping and documentation skills.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to analyze operational data and prepare reports.
- Project coordination and execution skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both management and shop-floor teams.
- Team collaboration and basic leadership skills.
- Structured and result-oriented approach to work.
- Willingness to travel to client locations.
