SBI Foundation is the CSR arm of State Bank of India, established in 2015 to implement the CSR initiatives of the Bank and its subsidiaries. The Foundation works towards inclusive and sustainable development through strategic interventions focused on vulnerable and marginalized communities across India.

The Deputy Manager – Gram Seva will assist and support the Manager (Gram Seva) in the day-to-day coordination, execution, monitoring, and administrative delivery of SBI Foundation's flagship rural development projects. The role involves working closely with partner NGOs, field teams, and internal departments to ensure smooth operational rollout, accurate data management, budget tracking, and timely reporting.

Position: Deputy Manager – Gram Seva

Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra, India

Employment Type: On Roll, subject to successful completion of probation period.

Deadline for Applications: 10.10.2026

Salary: Fixed CTC between Rs. 7.5 to 10.5 LPA + up to 15% performance variable component linked to annual performance. The CTC offered will depend on interview performance, relevant experience, and skill set.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

- Minimum Qualification: Master’s degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Rural Development, CSR, Social Work, Community Development, Development Studies, or related fields.
- Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in project implementation, rural/community development, CSR, or the development sector with NGOs, government bodies, CSR teams, or development organizations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES a) Program Planning & Support

- Support the Manager in designing, structuring, and preparing implementation schedules for rural development initiatives aligned with the SBI Foundation vision.
- Assist in drafting project proposals, budgets, monitoring frameworks, presentations, and meeting minutes.
- Coordinate RFP documentation, initial proposal screening, preliminary due diligence, and onboarding paperwork for implementation partners.




- Maintain ongoing communication with partner NGOs to ensure operational alignment and smooth workflow.

b) Project Implementation & Coordination

- Assist in driving project execution across assigned regions, tracking milestones, and escalating bottlenecks to the Manager.
- Act as a primary liaison point for field partner agencies, providing operational support to keep timelines on track.
- Coordinate ground-level activities, beneficiary engagement, and community mobilization efforts with field teams.

c) Monitoring, Evaluation & Data Management

- Conduct regular field monitoring visits to review project implementation, verify physical outputs, and assess ground impact.
- Collate, validate, and verify periodic performance reports submitted by NGO partners.
- Manage project dashboards, track key metrics, and maintain up-to-date data systems to support management reporting.
- Flag project risks, delays, or implementation gaps to the Manager along with actionable recommendations.

d) Financial & Administrative Management

- Review partner fund utilization certificates, invoices, and payment requests prior to processing.
- Assist in tracking project expenditures against approved budgets and maintaining financial audit compliance records.
- Coordinate administrative tasks, vendor management, and documentation requirements necessary for seamless operations.

e) Brand Building & Communication

- Collaborate with the Marketing & Communication team to compile field stories, case studies, photographs, and media content for outreach activities.
- Support internal team coordination, inter-departmental workflows, and logistics for meetings or field visits.




- Perform any other operational or administrative duties assigned by the SBI Foundation Management.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

- Working knowledge of rural development frameworks and community mobilization strategies in India.
- Strong project coordination, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
- Sound analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and exposure to digital reporting/dashboard tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Ability to work effectively both within a team workplace and independently on time-sensitive assignments.
- Willingness to travel frequently to rural and remote project sites across the country.
