SBI Foundation is the CSR arm of State Bank of India, established in 2015 to implement the CSR initiatives of the Bank and its subsidiaries. The Foundation works towards inclusive and sustainable development through strategic interventions focused on vulnerable and marginalized communities across India.
SBI Foundation is seeking a Deputy Manager – Health to manage the Health portfolio of the Foundation. The incumbent will be responsible for, implementing, monitoring and evaluating health-focused CSR programmes aimed at improving healthcare access, strengthening health systems and creating sustainable impact for underserved communities.
The role will involve end-to-end execution of the health care projects, proposal evaluation, partner management, budget preparation, monitoring and evaluation, stakeholder engagement, impact assessment and reporting.

Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
Employment Type: On Roll, subject to successful completion of probation period.
Deadline for Applications: 10.10.2026
Salary: Fixed CTC between Rs. 7.5 to 10.5 LPA + up to 15% performance variable component linked to annual performance. The CTC offered will depend on interview performance, relevant experience, and skill set.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Master’s degree in public health (MPH), Social Work (MSW), Healthcare Management, Development Studies, Public Policy or a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in public health, healthcare programmes, CSR, development sector or related areas.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Health Programme
- Assist Team head in conceptualise and develop innovative, scalable and sustainable health interventions aligned with the Foundation’s CSR priorities.
- Identify emerging healthcare needs and opportunities for intervention through research, stakeholder consultations and field-level assessments.
- Develop programme strategies, implementation plans, milestones and outcome frameworks.
- Lead the identification and evaluation of potential implementation partners and strategic collaborations.
- Review programme proposals, budgets, implementation plans and expected outcomes and provide recommendations to management.
- Ensure alignment of Health programmes with organisational priorities, CSR objectives and applicable guidelines.
2. Programme Management & Delivery
- Provide end-to-end oversight of Health programmes from conceptualisation through implementation, monitoring, evaluation and closure.
- Ensure programmes are delivered within approved budgets, timelines, scope and quality parameters.
- Work closely with NGOs, implementation agencies, technical partners and other stakeholders to ensure effective programme delivery.
- Establish explicit programme expectations, deliverables, milestones and quality standards for implementation partners.
- Monitor programme progress and identify risks, challenges and areas requiring corrective action.
- Ensure timely resolution of operational and implementation-related issues.
- Oversee multiple programmes simultaneously and effectively manage competing priorities.
- Ensure appropriate documentation, approvals and reporting throughout the programme lifecycle.
3. Budget & Resource Management
- Develop and monitor programme budgets in line with approved allocations.
- Ensure effective utilisation of programme funds and adherence to approved budgets.
- Review financial and utilisation reports submitted by implementation partners.
- Identify opportunities for improving programme efficiency and optimising available resources.
- Coordinate with internal Finance, Legal,
Compliance and other relevant teams for timely programme execution.
4. Monitoring, Evaluation & Impact Assessment
- Establish appropriate monitoring mechanisms, indicators and milestones for Health programmes.
- Regularly monitor programme performance through MIS, reports, data analysis and field visits.
- Review and validate data received from implementation partners and assess progress against agreed targets and outcomes.
- Conduct periodic field visits to assess programme implementation, quality and beneficiary outcomes.
- Identify gaps, risks and deviations and initiate appropriate corrective measures.
- Coordinate impact assessments through internal teams or external agencies.
- Analyse programme outcomes and recommend improvements, scale-up or course correction.
- Ensure systematic documentation of programme learnings, outcomes and impact.
5. Stakeholder & Partnership Management
- Build and maintain effective relationships with NGOs, implementation partners, government stakeholders, healthcare institutions, technical experts and other relevant stakeholders.
- Represent SBI Foundation in relevant meetings, consultations, workshops and sector forums.
- Facilitate regular review meetings with implementation partners and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve operational and programme-level challenges.
- Develop strategic partnerships that can strengthen the scale, quality and sustainability of Health interventions.
6. Team Leadership & People Management
- Allocate responsibilities and ensure effective utilisation of team resources.
- Set clear objectives, deliverables and timelines for team members.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable and performance-oriented work environment.
- Support capability building and knowledge development within the team.
- Ensure effective coordination across internal functions for smooth programme implementation.
7. Reporting, Documentation & Communication
- Develop programme case studies, success stories and impact narratives.
- Coordinate with the Communication team for dissemination of programme outcomes and impact.
- Contribute to research papers, knowledge products and sectoral publications related to Health.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to management, partners and other stakeholders.
8. Research & Knowledge Development
- Conduct research on emerging trends, challenges and opportunities in the Health sector.
- Track developments in public health, healthcare delivery and relevant government programmes.
- Identify innovative models and best practices that can be adapted for SBI Foundation interventions.
- Use research and evidence to inform programme design and strategic decision-making.
- Develop knowledge resources and capture learnings from programme implementation.
9. Governance, Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure programmes are implemented in accordance with approved policies, processes and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Monitor programme-related risks and ensure timely mitigation.
- Ensure appropriate due diligence and documentation of implementation partners.
- Maintain adequate programme records, agreements, reports and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with internal teams on audit,
compliance and governance requirements.
10. Promotion & Branding
- Develop programme-related content, case studies, photographs, beneficiary stories and impact highlights in coordination with relevant teams.
- Coordinate with the Communication team to enhance visibility of Health programmes and their outcomes.
- Support development of communication material for internal and external stakeholders.
Perform any other duties assigned by SBI Management.
