About us e-TRNL Energy is building battery cells around a question the industry has largely stopped asking: Does cost really have to be traded off against Safety and Charging speed?

We think the answer sits in the architecture of the cell rather than in its chemistry. So we are building a chemistry agnostic cell architecture, along with the process and the machines that make it. Manufacturing is part of the design here, not something we work out afterwards.

The company was founded by Apoorv Shaligram and Dr Uttam Sen, who have spent their careers in batteries and EVs.

About the role

We are looking for a technically strong Deputy Manager / Manager Quality to help build and strengthen the Quality function at e-TRNL Energy.

The role will work closely with R&D;, Process Engineering, Manufacturing and Operations to establish robust Quality Systems, develop measurement and characterization methods, and ensure that quality is built into products and processes from the early stages of development.

This role is suited for someone who can understand the technical aspects behind quality, translate them into practical systems and measurement methods, and mentor the team to build a strong quality culture.

What will you do

Build and improve Quality Systems suitable for an R&D; and advanced manufacturing environment.

Develop, validate and standardize measurement,



testing and characterization methods.

Establish and manage calibration, equipment qualification and measurement systems.

Work with R&D; and Engineering to identify critical quality parameters, specifications and test methods.

Support audits, certifications, standards and compliance requirements.

Drive technical problem-solving and continuous improvement using data and first-principles thinking.

Mentor Quality Engineers and build strong technical and quality capabilities within the team.

What We Are Looking For

B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering or a related field.

3-7 years of hands-on Quality experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment.

Strong understanding of Quality Systems, Quality Engineering and measurement principles.

Hands-on experience in method development, validation, calibration or characterization.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a technical and first-principles approach.

Good communicator who can work effectively with R&D;, Engineering and Manufacturing teams.

Willingness to be hands-on and understand the technical details behind quality problems.

Useful, But Not Required

Experience in battery, energy storage, advanced materials or deep-tech manufacturing.

Experience working with R&D; teams during current product or process development.

Experience in setting up Quality Systems or characterization capabilities from the ground up.
