Role Description The Deputy Manager EHS will oversee and implement Environment, Health, and Safety programs at on-site mining and metals operations in Odisha, India. This full-time role includes monitoring workplace conditions, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with relevant EHS regulations and company policies.

Daily responsibilities involve conducting safety inspections, leading accident and incident investigations, updating and maintaining EHS documentation, and coordinating with operations teams to address hazards and corrective actions. The role also includes planning and delivering employee training on occupational health, safety procedures, emergency preparedness, and environmental best practices.

The Deputy





Manager EHS will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external regulators to support audits, reporting, and continuous improvement of EHS performance.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and Health & Safety principles, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in Occupational Health practices, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and mitigation in industrial or mining environments.
- Proficiency in Accident Investigation, root cause analysis, and implementation of preventive and corrective actions.
- Ability to design and deliver Training programs on EHS topics, safety awareness, and emergency response.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, occupational health and safety, or a related discipline; relevant EHS certifications are an advantage.
- Experience in mining, metals, or heavy industry operations, with familiarity in in office field work and safety audits.
- Solid communication and documentation skills, with the ability to engage workers at all levels and promote a safety-first culture.
- Proven track record in data-driven EHS reporting, incident trend analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to work on-site in Odisha, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
