As a Data Center Technician, you execute and complete advanced operational tasks related to deploying and launching new data center infrastructure across projects. You apply standard tools, resources, and processes to solve defined problems, and are able to leverage debugging tools and perform troubleshooting to resolve technical challenges and teach others to do the same. You work in a team setting to accomplish project tasks and meet or exceed operational goals of a single data center site.

You possess a skilled and practical understanding of data center operations in one (or more) technology domain area(s) and are starting to acquire a base competency in relevant broader cross-functional Data Center domains.

Your responsibilities may include diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on equipment, servers, or infrastructure, and disassembling equipment that has reached its end-of-life independently.

Responsibilities include

- Contribute to the implementation of clearly defined compliance programs and initiatives in collaboration within your own team, to help ensure that environmental and safety incidents are properly investigated, resolved, and reported.
- drive the disassembling of specific equipment that has reached its end-of-life via part replacement or maintenance, within one or more teams.
- Independently execute advanced operational procedures as part of daily work activities and follow security policies and processes
- Maintain the security and integrity of data, track various forms of media to check for non-standard data security issues (e.g., intake system non-functional) handled in accordance with our security standards. Serve as the initial point of escalation for investigating reported issues.
- Work within a PM or partner team (e.g., Program Managers, Data Center Operations, Data Center Automation Systems) to complete tasks.




- Coordinate across teams to manage low to moderately complex construction activities at facilities to support service vendors, and ensure safety, security, and compliance. Help identify needs and coordinate resource allocation for space expansion and modification design. Some manager guidance expected at this level.
- Contribute to tracking and analysis for trends of operational characteristics in process or workflow performance and identify opportunities to improve operational procedures with some guidance (e.g., manage utilization, eliminate non-productive activities, create cross-site efficiencies, influence automation and robotics enhancements)..
- Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment, servers, machines, infrastructure, automation, and robotics based on identified issues with multiple solutions, independently.
- Report issues and follow data center procedures to troubleshoot and diagnose somewhat complex issues with equipment or infrastructure as they arise, and apply the resources needed to resolve identified issues. Instruct others, as required, in troubleshooting technical infrastructure.
- Communicate with software and hardware engineers to resolve defined problems. Act as an escalation tier for same, or lower-level technicians.
