Role & responsibilities
Prepare and modify 2D engineering drawings using AutoCAD for busducts, enclosures, covers, supports, brackets, and related sheet-metal components.
Develop sheet-metal designs considering material thickness, bend allowance, bend radius, folding, cutting, punching, and fabrication requirements.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
Create detailed fabrication drawings with proper dimensions, tolerances, hole patterns, bend details, and material specifications.
Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and component details.
Ensure designs are suitable for manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, and installation.
Coordinate with production, fabrication, quality, procurement, and engineering teams to resolve design-related issues.
Modify drawings based on engineering changes, production feedback, and customer requirements.
Support the preparation of GA drawings, component drawings, assembly drawings, and manufacturing drawings.
Check drawings for accuracy, dimensions, fitment, and manufacturability before release.
Maintain proper revision control and engineering documentation.
Assist senior engineers in busduct layout and product development.




Understand basic mechanical aspects such as sheet-metal fabrication, fasteners, welding, bending, and assembly.
Participate in design reviews and provide technical support to the production team.

GD&T; / basic tolerances

Knowledge of sheet-metal bending, punching and fabrication
