Role Overview

Augle AI is looking for a proactive Controls & Automation Engineer to execute industrial robotics and automation projects at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design PLC-based control systems and electrical panels.
- Develop, test, and troubleshoot PLC programs.
- Perform PLC wiring, field wiring, sensor/actuator integration, and commissioning.
- Establish communication between PLCs and Augle AI’s Python-based software.
- Integrate PLCs with robots, vision systems, HMIs, VFDs, servo drives, and safety systems.
- Configure industrial protocols such as Modbus, Profinet, EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, OPC UA, TCP/IP, and RS-485.
- Support robot–PLC handshaking, automation sequencing, alarms, and safety interlocks.
- Travel to customer sites for installation, FAT/SAT, commissioning, troubleshooting, and operator training.
- Coordinate with software, robotics, AI,



and mechanical teams.

Qualifications:

- Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Robotics, or related field.
- Strong PLC programming and electrical wiring knowledge.
- Experience with Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Delta, Omron, Beckhoff, or similar PLCs.
- Understanding of industrial communication protocols and control-panel design.
- Basic knowledge of Python integration, robotics, industrial sensors, and automation safety.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and willingness to travel for on-site projects.

Preferred Skills

- Hands-on robotics knowledge and experience integrating industrial robots with PLC-controlled systems.
- Experience in robot programming for Yaskawa, Kawasaki, FANUC, ABB, KUKA, or similar industrial robots is a plus.
