Minimum requirements

5 years of supervisory or managerial experience, of which at least 2 years in the aeronautical industry in an appropriate position A relevant engineering degree (aeronautical, mechanical, electrical, electronic, avionics, or related) OR a CAR-66 aircraft maintenance engineering qualification with additional education acceptable to DGCA Formalised training on a relevant sample of the aircraft type(s)/systems within scope, at least equivalent to CAR-66 Appendix III Level 1 "General Familiarisation" Working knowledge of CAR-CAMO and applicable parts of CAR-M Knowledge of Human Factors principles and safety management systems (including compliance monitoring), consistent with ICAO Annex 19 Working knowledge of maintenance methods Comprehensive knowledge of relevant operational requirements/procedures, the AOC holder’s Operations Specifications, and relevant parts of the Operations Manual, where applicable

Key Responsibilities

Job role: Develop and control the Aircraft Maintenance Programme (AMP), including any applicable reliability programme, and provide/obtain DGCA (or indirect) approval as required Ensure modification and repair data complies with, with particular attention to Critical Design Configuration Control Limitations (CDCCL) Establish and operate the non-mandatory modification/inspection assessment procedure,



using the organisation’s safety risk management process — Ensure aircraft, engines, propellers and components are routed to an appropriately approved maintenance organisation whenever necessary Order maintenance, supervise activities and coordinate related decisions so that all maintenance is properly carried out and released for determination of airworthiness Where the organisation does not itself hold a maintenance approval, manage written maintenance contracts (or work orders, where permitted) to ensure all maintenance is ultimately performed by an appropriately approved organisation Oversee any subcontracted continuing airworthiness management tasks (AD analysis, SB analysis, maintenance planning, reliability/engine health monitoring, AMP development) within the limits of, while retaining the CAMO’s ultimate responsibility for satisfactory completion. Ensure human factors and human performance limitations are taken into account across all continuing airworthiness management activity, including contracted and subcontracted work Maintain thorough, current knowledge of the organisation’s CAME and support the CAME amendment procedure Participate in the safety review board and management system key processes as required, including hazard identification, risk management, and management of change affecting continuing airworthiness.
