Role Description

This is a full-time, in office Content Writer (Children’s Books) role based in Jaipur.

The Content

Writer will create original stories and educational content for children’s books, ensuring that language, themes, and formats are appropriate for different age groups. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and revising manuscripts, conducting research on child development and educational topics, and collaborating with illustrators, editors, and educators to refine content. The role also involves adapting content for web and digital platforms when needed, proofreading and fact-checking material, and aligning each project with Kidureka’s creative and educational objectives.





Qualifications:

- Candidates should possess strong Writing and Web Content Writing skills, with a focus on clear, engaging, and age-appropriate storytelling for children.
- Candidates should possess abilities in Content Strategy and Research to plan themes, structures, and educational elements for children’s books.
- Candidates should possess careful Proofreading skills to ensure accuracy, readability, and consistency across manuscripts and related materials.
- Candidates should possess excellent command of written English, including grammar, style, and narrative structure.
- Candidates should possess creativity and empathy to understand children’s perspectives and craft inclusive, diverse stories.
- Candidates should possess strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with editors, designers, and educators on-site in Jaipur.
- Candidates should ideally have prior experience in children’s publishing, education, or creative writing; a degree in Literature, Education, Journalism, Communications, or a related field is beneficial.
- Candidates should possess strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
