Brief On The Organization Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar (IIPHG) is a University established under IIPHG Act, 2015 of Gujarat State. It offers courses in the field of Public Health. It also undertakes various research projects in the field of Public Health. The university is established by Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) with support from the Government of Gujarat, Department of Health & Family Welfare.

Project Brief The Awareness Against Health Threats of Climate Change (AWARE) project is an international research consortium assembled to enhance public health adaptation using climate services to address diarrheal disease burdens. It aims to develop interventions for managing diarrheal disease using climate services; to develop epidemiological methods; use co-design through community engagement, and support capacity strengthening for local adaptation.

A consortium of partners fromresearch institutions in the United States, UK, Chinese Taipei, India, Vietnam, Nepal, South Africa and Indonesia, will work together to undertake a comparative analysis of diarrhoeal disease risk associated with temperature and rainfall factors, ENSO, and extreme weather events.

Deliverables

- Conducting primary research related activities
- Conducting in-depth interviews
- Preparing interview transcripts
- Scheduling & assisting in organizing meetings with Govt. and other stake-holders
- Managing all the project related communications with internal and external stakeholders
- Developing detailed reports from secondary and primary data
- The Project involves some travel within Gujarat.




- Any other activities/tasks as assigned by the PI or supervisor.

Qualification: Master’s level degree in Health and allied fields Desirable: Master level degree in Health and allied fields along with doctoral/MPhil degree

Experience Minimum: Around 2 years of work experience

Desirable : Around 7 years of work experience
