Role & responsibilities

1. Examine patients to diagnose dental conditions and assess oral health.

2. Develop appropriate treatment plans based on patients' dental conditions and medical history.

3. Perform dental procedures, including tooth extractions, restorations, scaling, polishing, and root canal treatments, as per qualifications and clinical privileges.

4. Manage dental emergencies and provide appropriate treatment or referrals.

5. Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive dentistry, and post-treatment care.

6. Maintain accurate patient records, clinical notes, prescriptions, and treatment documentation.

7. Ensure proper completion of informed consent forms before dental procedures, wherever required.

8. Follow infection prevention and control protocols,



including sterilization of dental instruments and maintenance of equipment.

9. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and applicable clinical guidelines.

10. Coordinate with other departments and specialists for patients requiring multidisciplinary care.

11. Monitor treatment outcomes and schedule follow-up consultations as necessary.

12. Ensure proper utilization of dental materials, instruments, and equipment.

13. Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement activities, and hospital meetings as required.

14. Maintain qualified conduct, patient confidentiality, and ethical standards.
