Position: Math Expert - Terminal Bench

Type: Contract assignment

Compensation: $50 per hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week

Role Responsibilities

- Design authentic, multi-step computational mathematics tasks.
- Translate mathematical workflows into self-contained terminal environments.
- Implement expert solutions using Python, R, Julia, C/C++, or Bash.
- Develop automated tests that validate results across edge cases.

Requirements

- Ph.D., postdoctoral experience, or equivalent advanced technical experience in mathematics or statistics.
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, Julia, C/C++, or Bash.
- Experience working in Linux or terminal-based environments.
- Ability to independently implement, test, and validate computational algorithms.
- Robust understanding of numerical stability, error analysis, and reproducibility.
