Role Description The Company Secretary intern will support corporate governance and compliance activities, ensuring that statutory and regulatory requirements are met for clients and internal entities. Day-to-day responsibilities may include assisting with preparation and filing of corporate documents, maintaining statutory registers and records, drafting minutes of meetings, and coordinating board and shareholder meetings under guidance.
The intern will help review regulatory updates, prepare compliance checklists,
and support communication with regulatory authorities and skilled advisors as needed. This is an internship role that is on-site and based in Ahmedabad, requiring close collaboration with advisory, legal, and finance teams to maintain accurate documentation and timely filings.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of corporate law, company secretarial practices, and basic regulatory frameworks (India focus; exposure to international regulations is an advantage).
- Ability to draft and review corporate documents, minutes, resolutions, and compliance checklists with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using office productivity tools (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software) and comfort with cloud-based documentation systems.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
- Organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to handle multiple filings and deadlines with accuracy.
- Analytical mindset and willingness to research legal and regulatory updates relevant to corporate governance and compliance.
- Professional ethics, discretion in handling confidential information, and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
- Pursuing or recently completed Company Secretary (CS) course or a related qualification in law, finance, or corporate governance; prior internship experience in compliance or corporate advisory is beneficial.
