About Raincheck Earth – Cherrapunji Gin
Cherrapunji Gin is a premium Eastern Indian craft gin from Meghalaya, inspired by the rainiest place on Earth. Made with distinctive Northeast botanicals and awarded 15+ times globally, the brand is built around premium drinking, robust storytelling and meaningful relationships within the hospitality community.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Community Manager who will be responsible for building and nurturing
Cherrapunji Gin's on-trade community across the market.
This is not primarily a sales role.
The core responsibility is to ensure that every existing Cherrapunji Gin outlet is well serviced, commercially healthy and strongly connected to the brand. The person will build deep relationships with bartenders, bar managers, beverage heads, F&B; teams and hospitality partners, while creating advocacy through training, tastings, events, bar takeovers and other community-led initiatives.
The role will also have a commercial responsibility — ensuring outlets are ordering regularly,
volumes are growing, stock is available and distributors are servicing accounts efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
1. Existing Outlet Servicing & Relationship Management
● Own regular servicing of all existing Cherrapunji Gin on-trade accounts across their city & state.
● Build strong, long-term relationships with bartenders, bar managers, beverage managers, F&B; heads and outlet owners.
● Ensure every listed outlet receives consistent attention, communication and brand support.
● Understand each outlet's business, cocktail programme, consumer profile and requirements.
● Ensure Cherrapunji Gin remains actively visible and relevant within the outlet.
● Identify opportunities to improve menu placement, cocktail visibility and bartender recommendation.
● Maintain regular outlet visits and structured follow-ups.
● Resolve outlet issues quickly and escalate larger concerns to the National Head.
2. Bartender Community & Advocacy
● Build and continuously strengthen a strong Cherrapunji Gin bartender community.
● Develop relationships with influential bartenders and beverage professionals across their city / state.
● Conduct regular bartender interactions, product tastings and education sessions.
● Make bartenders knowledgeable and confident about Cherrapunji Gin, its story,
botanicals, serves and expressions.
● Encourage bartenders to experiment with the brand and incorporate it into their cocktail programmes.
● Identify strong advocates who can become long-term brand champions.
● Build genuine relationships rather than transactional brand interactions.
3. Trainings, Events & Brand Activations
● Plan and execute bartender training, staff training, tastings and advocacy sessions.
● Coordinate bar takeovers, guest shifts, cocktail events and community gatherings.
● Work closely with the marketing team to execute market activations.
● Ensure every activation has clear objectives, strong execution and proper follow-through.
● Develop relevant local opportunities to bring the Cherrapunji story to the hospitality community.
● Ensure brand rituals and assets, including the Sound of Rain, are integrated appropriately into activations.
● Support the development and execution of Cherrapunji Gin's on-trade IPs, including
Cherrapunji GIN SONIC.
4. Stock, Distributor & Order Coordination
● Ensure existing outlets remain adequately stocked.
● Maintain close coordination with distributors and outlet teams to prevent stock-outs.
● Track orders, dispatches and deliveries and follow up on delays.
● Ensure distributor servicing is happening within expected timelines.
● Identify outlets where stock is low or unavailable and proactively coordinate replenishment.
● Escalate recurring distributor or supply issues to the National Head.
● Maintain visibility on outlet-level stock and order status.
5. Volume Growth & Commercial ResponsibilityWhile sales acquisition is not the primary focus, the Community Manager is responsible for ensuring that existing accounts become productive and repeat accounts.
● Drive consistent ordering and volume growth from existing outlets.
● Track outlet-wise performance and identify underperforming accounts.
● Encourage stronger cocktail/menu placements that can drive consumption.
● Follow up on dormant or low-volume accounts.
● Work with outlet teams to understand barriers to higher consumption.
● Support selective new outlet acquisition where relevant opportunities arise.
● Convert listings into productive,
repeat-ordering accounts.
6. New Account Development
● Identify relevant premium bars, restaurants, hotels and hospitality groups.
● Make introductions and conduct brand presentations/tastings where required.
● Support the National Head in closing strategically important accounts.
● Focus on quality and relevance of accounts rather than simply adding listings.
● Ensure newly opened accounts are properly onboarded and serviced after listing.
7. Reporting & CRM
● Maintain an updated database of outlets, bartenders and key hospitality contacts.
● Record outlet visits, meetings, training, tastings and activations.
● Track account status, stock availability, orders and repeat business.
● Submit regular market and community updates.
● Share insights on competitor activity, bartender sentiment, outlet trends and opportunities.
Key Success Metrics The role will be evaluated primarily on:
● Quality and consistency of outlet servicing
● Active and productive outlet base
● Repeat ordering and volume growth
● Stock availability and distributor servicing
● Bartender relationships and advocacy
● Number and quality of bartender trainings/community interactions
● Quality and execution of activations
● Menu/cocktail visibility
● Reduction in dormant accounts
● New quality accounts added
● CRM discipline and market reportingCandidate Profile
● 2–4 years of experience in Alcobev, hospitality, on-trade, brand advocacy or community management.
● Strong existing relationships within their city/state’s bar and restaurant community preferred.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Comfortable speaking to bartenders, bar managers, owners and senior F&B; professionals.
● Energetic, outgoing and highly relationship-oriented.
● Solid understanding of bars, cocktails and premium spirits.
● Comfortable conducting presentations, training and tastings.
● Organised and capable of independently managing a large outlet universe.
● Commercially aware without being purely sales-driven.
● Strong follow-up and problem-solving skills.
● Willingness to travel within their state & to the head office as required.
Ideal Candidate
Someone who is deeply connected to the hospitality & bartenders community, enjoys being on the ground and genuinely likes building relationships.
The ideal person should be able to walk into a bar, know the team, understand what is happening in the business, solve a stock issue, train the bartenders, create excitement around the brand and ultimately help the outlet sell more Cherrapunji Gin.
