Cloud Architect (Connected Vehicle Platform)
EXPERIENCE 8–10 yrs (4+ cloud architecture)
LOCATION Chennai
Role purpose. Own the CVIP cloud design on AWS, from vehicle ingestion to APIs, so it is secure, scalable and cost-productive
Key responsibilities
1. Define end-to-end CVIP architecture
Establish AWS-based architecture covering connectivity, ingestion, microservices, data layer, API gateway, and portals.
1. Design vehicle-to-cloud communication
Implement MQTT, TCP, and HTTPS protocols with device authentication, X.509 certificates, and API tokens.
1. Architect device management
Plan activation, configuration, monitoring, OTA campaigns, and eSIM lifecycle in coordination with the MNO.
1. Design real-time and batch data flows
Use MQTT and Kafka with rule engines, alerts, and hot/cold/archive data lake structures.
1. Plan scale and disaster recovery
Ensure system availability, scalability,
and robust disaster recovery strategies.
1. Define integrations
Integrate with call centre (e-call, b-call), SAP, billing, notifications, maps, and UBI systems.
1. Set security and DevSecOps
Establish security architecture with EKS, IaC, CI/CD, observability, and manage cloud cost reporting.
Skill Set
- AWS IoT Core, EKS/ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, Kinesis/MSK, S3, RDS, ElastiCache, IAM, KMS
- Microservices, event-driven design, REST, MQTT
- Terraform/CloudFormation, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD
- Cloud security and high availability design
