Role Description The Claim Assessor is responsible for evaluating motor insurance claims by reviewing inspection reports, photographs, and supporting documentation to determine the extent of damage and recommended settlement. This full-time, on-site role based in Chennai involves coordinating with inspectors, insurance company representatives, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate claim assessments. Day-to-day activities include verifying policy coverage, analyzing vehicle condition and repair estimates, identifying discrepancies or potential fraud,



and documenting findings in clear, structured reports.

The Claim

Assessor will also maintain organized records of assessments, adhere to company and regulatory guidelines, and contribute to process improvements that enhance service quality and turnaround times.

Qualifications

- Ability to interpret vehicle inspection reports and valuation data, with strong analytical and numeracy skills for assessing repair costs and claim amounts.
- Knowledge of automobile components, basic mechanical understanding, and familiarity with motor insurance claim processes or general insurance practices.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and proficiency in preparing clear written reports and maintaining claim-related records.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with inspectors, insurance teams, and customers in a qualified manner.
- Comfort with using computers and standard office software; experience with claim management or inspection systems is an advantage.

- Ability to work on-site in Chennai on a full-time basis, manage multiple cases, and meet turnaround time and quality targets.
- Diploma or degree in automobiles, engineering, insurance, commerce, or a related field preferred; relevant work experience in claims, inspection, or valuation is a plus.
- Commitment to ethical practices, regulatory compliance, and continuous learning in the automobile and insurance domain.
