Role Description This is a full-time, in office Civil Lawyer role based in Kochi.

The Civil

Lawyer will advise and represent clients in a range of civil matters, including property disputes, contracts, consumer issues, and family-related civil cases. Daily responsibilities include client consultations, drafting and reviewing legal documents, preparing case strategies, and appearing before appropriate courts and tribunals. The role involves researching case law and statutes, negotiating settlements, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders, and maintaining detailed case records.

The Civil

Lawyer is expected to uphold professional ethics, manage multiple cases efficiently,



and contribute to LawyerLinked’s mission of connecting people with the right legal support.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in civil law, including experience handling property, contract, consumer, and related civil disputes.

- Proficiency in legal research, case analysis, and interpretation of statutes and case law.

- Demonstrated ability to draft, review, and negotiate legal documents such as pleadings, contracts, notices, and agreements.

- Effective client-facing skills, including clear communication, counseling, and stakeholder management.

- Experience representing clients in civil courts and tribunals, with sound litigation and advocacy skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in local languages used in Kochi is an advantage.

- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple matters concurrently.

- Commitment to legal ethics, confidentiality, and professional integrity.

- LL.B. or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution, with enrollment as an advocate with the appropriate Bar Council.

- Prior experience in a law firm or legal department focusing on civil matters is preferred but not mandatory for highly motivated candidates.
