About the Role
We are seeking motivated Analysts/Associates to join our Middle Office – Corporate Actions team. The role involves facilitating corporate action event information between custodians and investment managers/clients, managing client elections, and performing record-keeping activities to mitigate risks impacting fund valuation.
Key Responsibilities
Data validation: Cross-check information received with multiple sources.
Issue resolution: Liaise with local sub-custodians to clarify and resolve open issues.
Event analysis: Anticipate reporting or processing issues related to corporate events.
System setup: Input financial information into accounting systems.
Information relay: Share updates on corporate events with clients on an ongoing basis.
Reconciliation: Process securities reconciliation with sub-custodian positions.
Eligibility checks: Verify eligible positions of accounts within custodians.
Voluntary events:
Ensure all eligible positions are instructed before deadlines, consolidate client instructions, and advise local markets.
Mandatory events: Track payment dates, process payments, and finalize recovery of cash/securities.
Foreign exchange: Process FX orders per client setup.
Adjustments: Handle manual adjustments to finalize recovery processes.
Break resolution: Justify cash/securities breaks to Control Teams periodically.
Contributing Responsibilities
Evaluate and update documented procedures regularly.
Participate in brainstorming sessions and share best practices with peers.
Skills & Competencies
Technical: Accounting knowledge; familiarity with Swift messages; MS Word & Excel proficiency.
