Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Civil Engineer to join our Transportation Engineering team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical, digital, and project delivery skills while contributing to the design and delivery of utilities, highways, active travel, public realm, traffic, and infrastructure projects. Working alongside experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams, you will support the development of sustainable transportation solutions from concept through to detailed design and construction.

You will gain exposure to industry-leading digital engineering tools, design standards, and project delivery processes while working towards professional chartership.

Responsibilities

This role supports the design and delivery of highway, utility, and transportation infrastructure projects, including junctions, access roads, urban streets, and active travel schemes.

Responsibilities include preparing engineering drawings, technical reports, feasibility studies, and detailed design deliverables in line with industry standards. The individual develops and maintains 3D models using Autodesk Civil 3D, contributes to BIM-compliant project outputs, and supports data management and model coordination activities. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, they help deliver projects on schedule,



participate in technical discussions, and apply digital engineering workflows to improve design quality and project efficiency.

Requirements

- Degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related discipline with 2+ years of relevant experience; exposure to UK projects is advantageous
- Solid interest in transportation and infrastructure design, with a good understanding of engineering principles and design processes.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of supporting project documentation and technical deliverables.
- Familiarity with Autodesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD, GIS tools (ArcGIS/QGIS), and BIM workflows is desirable.
- Knowledge of UK transportation design standards and digital engineering practices is an advantage
- Proactive team player with a willingness to learn, develop technical skills, and contribute to successful project delivery
